Over the past 15 years or so I have purchased about 5 cars from Putnam Toyota. I was always treated with courtesy and the cars I bought were always great deals. Usually Leonard Ruttenberg / Lenny has been my salesman and he is the best. He works hard and always accommodates me and my family. I just bought a used Highlander from him and it is great. My wife loves it and the purchase went perfectly. Lenny bent over backwards to find the right car that suited my budget and our needs.

Much better than Melody. Service is quick, friendly, and the prices, although high, don't seem outrageous. Overall, they do a fine job and won't keep you waiting for 1000 years.

Thank you Putnam Toyota for having the vehicle we wanted, as well as for allowing us to take advantage of cash for clunkers. Woop woop! Don't be fooled when you get here. They may seem to have a small inventory when you look at the dealership, but the rest of it is in another lot. That said, you might want to give them a call before you head over. Anyway, my pops was in the market for a new minivan (particularly a Sienna) since our '89 Aerostar was about to give out any minute. Thanks to cash for clunkers, the value of the van shot up from $100 to $3500 LOL. After making a bunch of calls to all Toyota dealerships in the Bay Area, I found Putnam to be one of the more helpful and friendly dealerships I've called. I ended up talking to Noli when I called. Funny thing is its a Filipino name, so I figured my parents and I should come here because he might hook us up with a reasonable deal haha. Noli was nice enough to check the inventory when I called, and luckily they had one Sienna left in the trim my parents wanted. When we saw it in person, my parents liked the color and the features, therefore buying it was the next step seeing as Siennas were running scarce in the Bay Area. Cash for clunkers at work ladies and gentlemen. My parents had a good experience negotiating with Noli for the minivan. Its likely because they were discussing it in Tagalaog the entire time haha. Nader was helpful with the test drive portion and going over the features of the car when we signed the papers and everything, but he had a little mishap with my mom when we first got here. Other than that, he was ok. I guess you can say we were fortunate to have an overall good experience with Putnam, but Noli is solid. The finance manager was really nice too and patient with my parents because they spent too much time talking about paying extra for warranties. If the occasion every arose again, I'd definitely come back here to buy a Toyota/Scion. Your experience may vary haha. Rest in Peace 1989 Ford Aerostar. You will be dearly missed.

I was recently in the market for a car for my 80 year old mother. Her 1987 Buick Regal konked on her unexpectedly. I did most of the leg work, visiting various dealers to see what cars were out there that might work well for her. I took pictures and put them online for her to see and she picked the one she thought was the best price, mileage and color. She chose the 2007 Toyota Yaris at Putnam Toyota. My first contact at Toyota was with salesman Oscar- I told him very directly what we were looking for, he pointed me to the direction of 3 vehicles that would work and I never felt pressured or hounded as is the case with some places. I called him to let him know that my mother had thought the Yaris would be the best choice and that we'd be in on Sunday. He called me Sunday to reconfirm what time we'd be there and when we arrived, the car was washed and ready for inspection/test driving. He stood in the background while I took my time showing my mom all of the features- all of which are completely different from what her old tank had. It was a process. Oscar's associate Phil had to take over because Oscar had a phone call he had to take and Phil was also very easy to work with. Both of them really handled my mom with care and gave her the confidence to test drive the auto in a vacant parking lot. My mom is used to driving in her 12 block radius area of her home, no freeways and no driving at night. So the thought of driving anyplace else was frightening to her. She handled it like a champ. Mike in financing was also very nice, handled all the paperwork very efficiently and explained everything thoroughly. It was an extremely painless process at the dealership, they were very professional and handled my mom with respect. I would certainly consider going back to Putnam for future car purchases ~ although that is going to be several years for me...maybe hubby when he's ready for a new commute car!

Great repair service!! I had my car serviced here for a couple of years - and stopped when I moved to the East Bay. After trying several dealers in the East Bay - I have decided I will drive to Burlingame to go to Putnam Toyota for all future service Other repair places could not figure out a simple problem - and one even made it seem like I must be imagining it! When I went to Wesley - he immediately knew what the problem was and went above and beyond in providing excellent service. They are really great (especially Wesley)!!
