I'm not sure, but I may have found honest, no BS, no run around car salesmen. I know they were thought to be extinct or never existed in the first place. After getting the run around, being jerked around, and being lied to by other Toyota dealers (aka City Toyota), on a whim I decided to look up Yaris on Yelp and found Philip Anderson (see his review of Putnam, listed as Philip A) who used to work at Putnam, and is now just an all around good guy who helps people cut thru the BS of buying a car. He is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, even the ones I asked 3 times. He picked me up at my house in SF, drove me to Putnam, and sat with me thru the whole process from financing to driving away with my new purchase. Car salesman Nader was a nice guy, also no BS, as was Mike Dobres, the finance mgr. It was all relatively painless, and I drove away with 0% APR.

Luis was great. I knew that my brakes were going, and Luis and his group were honest and helpful. I'll def be going back there next time I have another problem with my Toyota Corolla!

Eric Brooks and Noli you guys were awesome. Treated customer with respect and made buying a car a great experience. I never thought I would buy a car from an ad on Craigslist....... Exchanged a couple of emails with Eric and Noli met us gave us all the run down. I was in and out of there in hour and half. Finance guys was a bit pushy on the warranties but doing his job. Just gotta stand your ground....Internet pricing is the way to go. You either take it or leave it. of course do your homework.....

I bought a new Sienna from Jaime earlier this week. The negotiation was very smooth, efficient and fair on both the new car and trade-in. I was in and out in under two hours, and a lot of that time was the test drive and Jaime explaining the features of the minivan which is loaded with gadgetry. My wife stopped by the next day and he walked her through all the features too. Overall it was a great experience.

Buying a car is never a pleasant experience but Putnam Toyota made it a bearable experience, thus four stars (would've been 5 stars if they paid me to take a new car). I contacted the new internet fleet manager, Chris Reade, concerning a Toyota Highlander. The selection available was mind boggling, from a basic 2008 Highlander up to a fully loaded (Navigation and DVD) 2009 Highlander Hybrid Limited. The internet fleet manager works from invoice price vs. MSRP, so Chris wrote down most of the available choices, the MSRP and then his sale price. My wife and I wanted to have some time to determine which was the Highlander for us (mostly a color choice difference), so we told Chris that we would get back to him. I was surprised that he didn't implore us to make our decision on the spot. We went home, decided which vehicle we wanted and two days later called Chris. We went in, requested that he throw in body molding, floor mats and mud guards. Chris stated that he couldn't do all three, since it would be below his mark-up, but would throw in the body molding. Then we were turned over to the finance manager and received the usual extended warranty spiel and a new one for me, a pay up front maintenance program. After purchasing the car, Chris spent about an hour teaching us the features, synced our phones and taught us how to use the navigation system. Overall, the salesmen were pleasant to work with and if purchasing another Toyota, I would go back to Putman Toyota.

Mark Putnam from the Internet Sales Department is a tue professional salesperson. Although I didn't buy from Mark, dealing with the quotes and the trim models, I received nothing but sincere professionalism and excellent customer service you would hope to get for every car purchase. Since I help so many family members get cars, perhaps we will buy a car from Mark in the near future. I would have no problems discussing a potential purchase from him. This is so much better then the dealers who refuse to give you a quote over the Internet even though you request one. I am not into the whole, come on down and we will beat any quote you have. Why can't you just give me the lowest price you can offer and if you are the cheapest and you are reasonable to deal with you get the deal@f0 Its much better to deal with Mark who actually provides quotes then the high pressure, no information route like the other guys. thanks Mark. Hope to do business soon with you.
