Very positive experience overall: Purchased a new Sienna and felt that the salesperson wasn't out to "wheel and deal" to the point of feeling cheated. Also, I've dealt with their service department already and feel that both sales and service are solid
My experience here was very brief and only involved the service department. I brought my car in to get looked at because I received a letter from the company stating a part in my car was recalled and needed to be replaced. I called Putnam Toyota and made an appointment without any problems. When I arrived on Saturday morning, there wasn't a long line to get into the service department. I just drove right in and was immediately attended to. The guy I spoke to was very helpful, knowlegable, and answered all of my questions (about that day's service, as well as a quote on replacing my brakes). He told me they would have it done before noon (my appt was at 9am) and sure enough, I got a call at around 11:30 to pick up my car. Since the service was due to a recall notice, I did not incur any cost.
I traded in a corolla for a recent model Toyota, going through Mr. Lenny Ruttenberg, whom I would recommend. The customer service is one of the best of any business I've interacted with. The team stayed late to process the transaction, and were great with follow up issues. They were very professional and fair, and very responsive to both phone and email communications.
Purchased a new vehicle. Found Internet Fleet Manager's post on Craigslist. Eric Brooks sales approach was very easy to work with. No pressure. In fact, I asked him for a business card and he said to just email him using the Craigslist post. I like that. Usually you have car sales people asking you for your information so they can harass you. He had the car I was looking for. I knew his price was great due to the fact that another dealership told me they couldn't even touch that price if they even had the vehicle to sell.
