February 2017 Upgrading from 1* to 3* b/c on my recent visit (oil change)-normally have it done independently or at SB Toyota, but this time took it here. Repeated what transpired when i made the appt, when i arrived to "check in". The oil chg took too long (even longer than the ETA) so i wasn't thrilled about that, but i guess they had to do the 19-pt check also. Adviser who helped said he'd talk to his mgr about the glove compartment issue. The following day i rec'd a call from the Mgr who agreed they will fix it. Brought it back for a 2nd time. Again, too long of a wait (and longer than their ETA). But it got fixed. Not 100% like new, but functional. Wish they had responded to me when i contacted them, instead of having had to take my car in for service to have this finally taken care of. ************************************************************************************************************ I came here a couple of months ago to have my recall service (airbag). While i was happy with the service, it wasn't until later that i discovered that they broke my glove compartment, didn't tell me, and when i found out, i wrote a letter to them by snail mail and never heard back. It's been at least 6 weeks since then. When i dropped off my car to them, I informed them that the glove compartment was "stuck" b/c i had a book in there and it just got stuck and i never tried to get it unstuck because i didn't have the right tools and did not want to make it worst (ie break). He assured me it would be ok and they'd know how to work it. After the work was done, nothing about the glove compartment was communicated to me, so i thought all was ok. In fact, i had thought that perhaps they didn't have to deal with the glove compartment (perhaps the airbag was somewhere else?)....fast forwards weeks and weeks later, i dropped something on the passenger side floor and had to reach over to fetch it and with my head with a view of the glove compartment, i thought i saw somethign shiny and yanked and was able to open my glove compartment! I saw that it got secured with a paper clip. Once i opened it i couldnt' shut it b/c i disturbed it. So i wrote to them to ask if they could contact me and repair it. Nada. No phone call, no email, no snail mail@f0@f0@f0
Just bought a 2017 RAV4 Hybrid and love it! Worked with Jeff Hershman, who made the transaction easy. He answered my internet request quickly and was very responsive by email re making an appointment for a test drive. I wanted silver, which I didn't realize was a rare color, and when one came on the lot right after my inquiry, he took pictures and emailed them to me to show me how great the car looked in silver! I highly recommend him if you are in the market for a new car.
Great customer service, and ask for Jeff Hershman! My wife wanted to get the new 2017 Toyota Prius Prime in a very uncommon color. After calling about 40 dealerships around the west coast, we couldn't find ANYONE that had it. Everyone was telling me it it would be 3 months before I could get one! Jeff really went above and beyond to work with us to match us up with one coming in a week later. He followed up with me daily to make sure we could get it as soon as it came in. The car came in as promised - the buying experience was great too! He also took the time to walk through all the features/knobs of the vehicle with my wife before she drove it off the lot, even though she was already sold on getting it. He even let us know about a special $100 deal on free charging from ChargePoint. Kudos, Jeff and staff, for making this a great buying experience!
I was driving to work in SF when I noticed my tire pressure light came on. It was down pouring outside, then I stopped at the gas station to find a nail in my tire! You could even hear the air gushing out therefore I stopped in to Putnam Toyota to see if there was anything they could do to help me on such an unexpected notice. An employee named Jesus, immediately offered to help me out. Even though I waited for a bit(no complaints whatsoever on that) they managed to help patch me up and send me on my way. Every time I visit Putnam, I've had nothing but pleasant experiences. I have taken my 4Runner to many other Toyota locations but they always let me down. I no longer live in the area but I still drive 20+ miles just to come here for the help. Keep up the good work guys!
Man, I really enjoyed the way both Jeff and George helped me out here. Ended up buying a used Prius V and I experienced 0 difficulties while I was there. Jeff mostly helped me, I highly suggest him.
