just bought a prius c from Putnam Toyota, and are very happy with the experience. We only planned on test driving the car, and Edie took us on a great test drive, addressing all of our questions about what the car could do and how it would handle in different situations. we ended up buying the car, and they were very straight-forward and honest with us the whole time. mike in financing was super friendly as well. very happy with the whole process and no complaints. very refreshing compared to the stereotypical 'car buying experience.' we'd been to a few toyota dealerships in the area, as well as dealerships for other brands, and putnam stood above the rest.

I've spent the past 6 weeks researching and driving entry level cars from Novato to Burlingame. I read my Consumer Report from cover to cover and knew the drill. I saw every game and sleeze ball move possible. Hyundai of San Francisco was the worst. Absolute worst. I was a jaded and defensive shopper until I met Edie Asbury at Putnam Toyota. Pleasant, professional, easy-going and knew her stuff. She qualified me. Set realistic expectation and made suggestions. I drove the cars (Prius and Scion xB) twice and finally did the much of the negotiating after work and over the phone. I finally purchased a Scion XB at a very reasonable and fair price in less than 90 minutes.Walked in and walked out. I was offered extras...but it was more of an education with the pros-cons than a hard sell. My experience with Edie and her boss Andrey was 5-stars. Do your research. Know what's out there online and then skip the rest and give Edie a call. I've never been happier with a car purchase. Tim

5/2/13 Since I posted my original review, I have been working with Putnam to correct the original problem. They have had the Vehicle 10 days & provided us with a car to drive. We received a call this afternoon M they believe they have located the issue and fixed it. My feeling toward Putnam is improving and at this point I will edit my rating to a 3 and we will possibly send it even higher if they did get the problem fixed. Took my Sequoia into Putman Toyota for them to chase a suspension squeek. Vehicle is under warranty. They had it 2 full days, told me that theyneeded more time, as had not fou d the problem, they only worked on the cehicle 1 hour & 24 minutes, according to their computer when I asked to see their service log. More time, REALLY@f0 The problem can't be fixed if they don't work on the Vehicle. VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THEIR "Service"

I emailed Jeff Hershman on Saturday morning for a very specific vehicle that was on their floor, we negotiated the price by phone, and I drove off the lot at 3:30 that afternoon with the new RAV4! Jeff was both professional and personable, a rare combination in the car business these days. I'd deal with him anytime.

Just helped my mom buy a 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE here this weekend. Got a great deal, and was treated very well by Jeff Hershman. My mom was looking for a very specific car, with the right color and specs. It had to be a 2012 as they were offering a 0%/60 month financing deal only on remaining 2012's. I called up Putnam Toyota as I knew they had that exact car on their lot. Jeff Hershman held the car until we were able to come in the next day. We had already negotiated a very fair price over the phone, so the rest of the transaction was very smooth. Jeff had the car washed and set aside for us before we even arrived. Jeff also helped get my mom's iPhone synced up with the new Camry! Very rare to have such a pleasant buying experience when buying from a dealership! Kudos to Jeff and the rest of the staff at Putnam Toyota.
