Just had a great experience at Putnam Toyota buying my new Tacoma TRD Off Road. I recently had a very poor experience with a pushy salesperson at a different Toyota dealership down south that soured me so much from the car buying experience I almost decided to wait another year to buy. By chance, in a state wide search for my dream truck, I found it online at Putnam Toyota and inquired with salesman Abdul Asalati. He was instantly the opposite of the sales experience I had down south. He was very respectful and accommodating in setting up a good time for me to come in and test drive (I no longer live in the area) and overall made what can be a very stressful experience as pleasant and exciting as buying a new car should be. A special thanks to Abdul and the rest of Putnam Toyota for helping connect me with my dream truck.
I focused on Putnam for my purchase of an Avalon Hybrid after really reading the Yelp reviews. A friend purchased a car at a different area Toyota dealer and gave them a B. Sorry, but I'm looking for A-class service. I am doubly happy that Abdul Asalati was standing out front when I approached the dealership. He showed me their inventory and knowledgeably explained the ins and outs of various models. I'm not sure his management wants to hear this, but he actually pointed out the most economical cars that met my criteria! For the test drive, he encouraged driving to my home town (Half Moon Bay), saying "you must decide what you want based on your experience of driving." (We didn't quite do that, though I did take it up to Skyline.) By the way, Abdul has quite a background. You may want to ask about his movie appearance with Robert Mitchum... I did my due diligence reaching out to a number of Toyota dealers, including online queries. Abdul and Putnam Toyota did their job, making me a solid offer on the car I was interested in. I had deliberately waited until late in the model year to go after the car I wanted; I note that Putnam had not one but two of the specific cars I was searching for, while many dealers had none. I'll update this as we move into the servicing phase of the relationship, but for now, Abdul and Putnam fully deserve a five-star salute.
Abdul is a GREAT guy. You won't meet a nicer person. This feedback and rating is specific Abdul. I had some other issues with another salesperson and that person's attentiveness during the deal. Luckily, Abdul was able to piece things together professionally and did as good of a job as I could ask. And frankly, I'm not sure Abdul even got the credit/commission for the deal but treated me as if I was his customer from the start. Thanks Abdul!
For me, buying a new car rates right up their with the anxiety and pains of a root canal. However, my wife and I came back to buy our third Toyota Prius from Putnam Toyota thanks to the great and friendly service of Jeff Hershman. We waited until Jeff got back from his vacation and us from ours and took the leap once again for a 2016 Toyota Prius and the color we wanted too. Jeff is as friendly and informative as they get. We got the family discount plus the Labor Day rebates too. Oh yeah, the guy in financing, Michael, was a sound salt-of-the earth guy who expedited all of our paperwork before our lunch was even digested. Putnam Toyota, we will be back ... as long as their are folks like Jeff and Michael around.
Today I bought my fourth Toyota, Avalon XLE Premium Hybrid. I live in east bay and I always went to toyota dealerships near by for all of my previous cars but for this one I went to Putnam based on their Internet advertisement of the inventories. I was very pleased with the whole car buying experience there and want to especially thank Abdul, the nicest sales representative I have ever met. I would definitely go back for future purchases and strongly recommend this place to my family and friends.
I and my husband were looking for a new 'family' car and we got 2016 Sienna. Thanks to Abdul for his kind and patient service.
