At Putnam, I was helped by a gentleman named Jeff Hershman. He was very warm and welcoming. I was very indecisive and he took the time to work with me in finding what I needed. I usually take my car to get service at the Hayward dealership because that's where I bought the car. I decided to come to the dealership here in Burlingame because it's closer. I was not disappointed. When I pulled in I was acknowledged immediately and escorted inside to be helped. The man who helped me was very friendly and addressed my minor concerns. The waiting area was nice and clean and they offer coffee bagels and pastries which was nice because I hadn't had breakfast. My car was ready in the amount of time as promised and the man helping me went through the list of everything that was done. I for sure will bring my car here again when services are needed.
BEST experience ever buying a car! I have only owned Toyota's and have purchased them from Toyota 101. When I decided it was time to get a backup for Sparky (my 2004 Prius with 225,000 miles) I went to the internet to build me my new car. I found the reviews on Putnam Toyota to be very positive, so I emailed Putnam. Jeff Hershman immediately responded to my email and asked my requirements. I wanted a 2016 Prius, gray in color without leather interior. This was a few weeks ago. I was quite surprised when he called and told me he had my car!! I had to double check, 2016, color gray, NO leather!! He said yes! He made some very informative suggestions, and I felt that I could trust him enough to buy a car from him. I'm really busy (aren't we all) and I didn't want to spend hours going over little details, so Jeff took my application/credit information over the phone. Since I already have a Prius, I wasn't sure how I was going to get my new car home, when Jeff offered to pick me up at my home and take me to the dealer. He even got me a coffee at Peets! I felt that I got professional service from Jeff; he knows his cars and understood what I wanted. When we arrived at the dealership, there was my car!!! I went in and signed a few forms while Jeff filled it with gas. He spent as much time as I would let him, showing me all the bells and whistles (it grades my driving?? :-) and I was able to drive my car home after right after that. The only downside (if there is one) is that it is a brand new Prius, and everywhere I go people ask me: Is that a new Prius? What kind of mileage do you get? I love the color, what is that? Where did you buy it? Oh well, the price you pay. I will definitely return to Putnam Toyota for my next car.

I admitt I went in with the old school expectation that I needed to haggle the price down, but my dream car was already reasonably priced and, after a long day of shopping, nobody wasted my time with needless bargaining or sales tactics.
