We needed to get a second car, and knew that we wanted a Highlander. I started my search online on a Friday night. By Saturday I had quotes from various dealers around the bay area. Jeff Hershman from Putnam was able to give us the best price for the configuration we wanted. Sunday there wasn't much movement as I wasn't able to get in touch with Jeff (I found out later that he's off on Sundays). On Monday morning I was able to talk to Jeff on the phone and verify that they still had the exact Highlander we wanted. After work we arranged to drive down for a test drive. Jeff was right there waiting for us as we pulled up. Once we were satisfied with the car we started with the paperwork. The original quote from Jeff was a fair price that I was expecting and that's what we ended up paying. Signing the paperwork was relatively fast and overal I was happy with the price and service we received. After the car was ours Jeff spent another 15 minutes with us for a quick tour of our new car. It's been a few weeks since we bought the car and we're very happy with the experience. Total time spent including paperwork and searching from home was about 3 hours, much less than I was expecting. Jeff has also checked in with us occasionally since we bought the car to see how we're doing and if we have any questions. It's nice to know that even after having bought the car he still wants to make sure we're happy with the purchase.
